A post about my life recently as there hasn't been an update from me in quite some time. It's interesting to see how the busier I get in life, the less time I have to update my blog. Really it is simply a matter of priorities, and I promise I'll do better in the future. Anyway, on to the update of my recent life...
I was really excited to officially finish my undergraduate studies as I walked in August. It is such a relief and burden off my back to not be in both school and work full-time. Simultaneously, I was able to interview and obtain a promotion at Omniture in August, which I was extremely excited about. Besides the pay raise, I am starting to do work that really relates to my career choices and goals. I particularly enjoy coding some side projects that I think could give me some extra visibility. Hopefully I'll be able to share the results publicly when the time comes.
But my education hasn't stopped there. I also applied and qualified for a professional certification from the ICCP. The certification I received was the ISA Mastery level professional, and so I now have a suffix for the end of my name! Sure, it's not as prestigious as an M.D., Ph.D., or even an MBA, but I still think it's pretty cool.
I also trained and tested for the Omniture Certified Professional program to prove my aptitude for SiteCatalyst Implementation. I believe the examination is designed for people less technically-inclined, and I am not trying to brag, but it was not very difficult for an Information Systems graduate like me to ace the test. In any case, it is nice to tack on that extra bit of effort on to my resumé.
So between all the projects I've been working on and my desire to keep on educating myself, I have been a bit too busy for regular updates to my site, but that should change from here on out.
