The Final Stretch

I've been trying to keep up a good work ethic without burning out mentally or physically. Of course, that is easier said than done. With everything that has been going on, it is hard to make sure I get any exercise in at all! I haven't had time to practice the violin, go skiing, or play soccer in forever, it seems.

The main things to talk about this time around are of course school, work, and Christmas!

Almost done with School!

I've just finished my last week of classes, and I am very relieved of that. I was in a series of "core" management classes this semester, which is an interesting form of education. Basically, you stay in the same classroom for all of your classes which also happened to be grouped together into daily chunks. This made it convenient for my schedule as I was in the classroom at the same time, every weekday. Now, you would think that this would increase collaboration between the teachers, thus balancing out the work-load over the course of the semester. Nope. It didn't. Not one bit. This last week was a wonderfully horrible example of this. We had three papers/projects due as well as a couple of presentations. But no, the professors didn't work together to realize what kind of workload they were giving us. Well, I just have to get through finals week.

Work

I am technically becoming a full-time employee here at the year-mark of my employment with Omniture. It'll be sad to miss my "extra" pay from working more than my expected 30 hours a week shift, but I will also greatly appreciate the extra benefits I can receive from going minimum-full time, which, interestingly enough, is simply 32 hours per week.

Official interviewing for the Taiwan job position has yet to even start yet! Cameron, my buddy who works out of that office, said that the new guy would start around January 1st, but obviously that doesn't appear to be happening anytime soon.

Christmas

I can't wait until Christmas break really starts for me! Although, at the same time, I think I might take advantage of the opportunity to work on my Independent Study class. Yeah, not a whole lot of fun, I know, but I really want to get done with school so I can get to China!

I also am excited for the upcoming Christmas present. I'll be sure to post a review and everything when I get to take it out of the box.
